These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Luma, a mobile wellness application provided by Luma ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Luma.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Luma. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms with you. Luma is not directed at children under 13.
Luma offers meditation, breathing, and reflection practices for general wellness. It is not a medical device, not therapy, not a substitute for professional mental health care, and not crisis support.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services. In the United States, dial or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). In Taiwan, dial 1925 (心理諮詢專線). Internationally, find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
Luma offers a free tier and a paid tier called Luma Plus:
Subscriptions auto-renew at the chosen interval unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Subscriptions settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on iOS). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Refund requests for Apple-billed purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

You may use Luma for personal, non-commercial wellness practice. You agree not to:
Luma, the Luma name and logo, the LumaMark, the companion artwork (Hatchling, Seeker, Keeper stages of each companion species), audio tracks, and all in-app copy are owned by us or licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them within the app.
Reflections and journal entries you write are yours. We do not claim ownership of your reflections. You grant us permission to store and display them back to you within the app.
You may stop using Luma at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use Luma in a way that risks harm to other users or to us. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you before termination.
Luma is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor that audio tracks or features will be available at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Luma is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability — these limitations may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
For users in Taiwan, the Taiwan Consumer Protection Act applies where mandatory.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where reasonable, by an in-app notice. Continued use of Luma after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
